From the amount of steel added per ton, approximately 14 kilograms of silicon manganese and 3 to 5 kilograms of ferro silicon are needed. However, it should be noted that there are differences in the amount of these two elements added to different steel grades.

Looking at the downstream demand distribution of ferrosilicon, it is mainly concentrated in the steel and magnesium metal industries. The steel industry accounts for 70% of the market share, while the magnesium metal industry accounts for 20%. The remaining 10% is used for manufacturing related products and exports.
